Madame Alexander Karen Ballerina 1948 All Original Composition

This is Karen Ballerina, made only one year, between 1948 and 1949, by Madame Alexander. She is all original from head to toe. Her beautiful (Margaret) face has beautifully painted red lips, delicate stroke eyebrows, and her beautiful clear, amber sleep eyes have all their original upper lashes and painted lower lashes. Her hair is blonde, done in an updo braid across her head, accented with her original pink roses in her hair. There are 3 on each side.

Her lovely dress is made with a soft vintage net fabric, that has started to deteriorate. The top is lined and is accented with golden braid. She is wearing her original "taffeta" blue panties edged with a ruffle.

She wears her original black velveteen ribbon around her neck. Original black velveteen ribbons on her wrists are attached to the top layer of her dress. She wears her original pink ballerina slippers.

Her dress IS tagged but has faded over the years. She is in beautiful condition with minor crazing, the thumb on her left hand is chipped. Please view all photos, as they are an important part of the description. From my smoke-free, pet-free home, there are no offensive odors.
