Lovely and royal Princess Margaret Rose composition doll is all original and complete, from her pink straw hat to her pink, side-snap leatherette shoes. Her face uses the Margaret mold, created in the late 1940s. Her blue sleep eyes have full eyelashes and open/close easily. Her face paint is still rich and lovely, with single-stroke eyebrows, pale eyeshadow, lower lashes, pale pink cheeks, and rosy lips.

Her dark strawberry blond wig is full, thick, and in the original set with sideswept bangs and tight curls all around. Original barrettes and hairpins are still in place.

Her face is excellent with very light crazing above her eyes. Margaret Rose wears a beautiful pale pink gown of nylon organdy. The gown is trimmed with white lace, a pink ribbon and bow at the waist, and pink rosebuds at the waist and on the double ruffle of the very full skirt. There is one tiny hole hidden in the folds of the skirt on the left.

The bodice is lined, has short puffy sleeves, and closes in back with 3 square snaps. The Margaret Rose tag is excellent. She has an attached pink taffeta underskirt, matching pink panties that tie in back, long white socks, and pink, bow-trimmed, side-snap leatherette shoes.

Her pink straw hat is trimmed with pink satin bows and pink rosebuds on each side of the crown. The long pink satin ties hold the hat securely over her curls, but the elastic hat band is still there and stretchy. She is all composition; body is jointed at the neck, shoulders, and hips. Stringing is secure though a bit loose. There is light crazing on her torso, arms, and legs, but she displays beautifully.

Like many other MA compo dolls with the Margaret face, she is not marked, but she is clearly by Madame Alexander. Thank you for your interest in this MA Princess Margaret Rose. Please see the photos as they are an important part of my description and include any damage I have found on the doll.
