MADAME ALEXANDER Vintage 15 Flora McFlimsey 1938 doll withOriginal Tagged Clothes
1938 Alexander Flora McFlimsey doll, 15 tall, all composition, red human hair wig with bangs and braid down back, jointed composition body, clear blue glassene sleep eyes, painted facial features including freckles sprinkled across the nose, open smiling mouth with six upper teeth & felt tongue. Used the Princess Elizabeth head mold, thus they are marked the same. Her tagged outfit is complete with every thing original, including her hat. Her stringing is a little loose, she has paint peeling and some crazing on her face. Flora McFlimsey is based on the character Miss Flora McFlimsey of Madison Square, from William Allen Butler's famous satirical poem; Nothing to Wear published in 1857.
