Darling Madame Alexander Vintage Cissy doll with auburn hair in tagged gown. This Cissy girl would be one of the earlier dolls with the molded and painted pink body. The satin slipper, long full gown Cissy is wearing is tagged. I have not found the exact gown in any of the MA books.
It looks very much like the satin side drape gown dating back to 1956, The slipper satin gown that Cissy is wearing has a beautiful jewel made of clear 5 small chaton pronged rhinestones and a much larger clear chaton at the bottom center area. Definitely adds nicely to Cissy's gorgeous gown!
The gown material is in VGVC if not EVC. Some minor wear does exist. Yet again, given the age it is awesome!!The marks that you see are basically unnoticeable when Cissy is on display. Of the gowns 5 MA square snaps, one of the square snaps (male side) is missing.
Hopefully, Cissy's new mommy will be able to help her out with that. The lining is rather dense material and works great to help hold the very full gown out for a much more fashionable look. Cissy is wearing a very feminine seamstress made full slip covering the breast area and the bottom dress area. The bottom area is super full with tulle and a second slip of just gathered tulle and a elastic waistband. The seamstress also made panties matching the slip and the lining slip using the same pale green fabric and lace.Cissy girls stockings are the original MA with the seam up the back and the high heel strap shoes are also MA vintage. Back during the mid 50's, none of the Cissy dolls sported pierced earrings. This doll has glued on clear round rhinestone earrings which was done often during that time period for the very elaborate gowns. Cissy's faux fur, two tone cape, has a small cluster of pink and white roses and greenery in the front which fastens with a MA square snap. The flowers, faux fur and lining are in EVC.
Cissy's hair is in the original set, clean and shiny with no discoloration or missing areas of hair. I would consider Cissy's facial coloring medium in tone. Not bright, more of a soft and subtle natural color. Lips are not red but more of a medium coral shade. Cissy's body has no cracks, tears or fractures and she will pose perfectly for you.
Lovely MA vintage Cissy doll for your consideration. Please check out all pictures as they are a large part of the dolls description and information. The doll stand is not included.
