She is pictured in the Arranbee book which states Silver crown pin has'jewels' and the doll is thought to be in recognition of Elizabeth when she became heir to England's throne in 1936. In this doll's case, she has square snaps and a remnant of a cut-off tag that most likely was a Madame Alexander tag.
So these dolls are a bit of a mystery as to whether or not they are truly Arranbee or Madame Alexander. This particular doll does seem to have the Arranbee Nancy face but the dress is very, very Madame Alexander in design. The crown pin on the front is remarkably similar to the top of the crown on Madame Alexander Princess Elizabeth dolls. This particular doll is overall in excellent condition. She has minimal to no crazing and a beautiful human hair wig still in the original set.
She has a bright pink taffeta dress with lace and a matching bonnet. Her crown pin is missing several rhinestones but is original to her and pictured in the Arranbee book. She has her original bouquet of flowers in her hand. She has gorgeous original gold snap shoes and socks. She is in lovely condition!
The bottom snap in the back of her dress has torn. Otherwise, she is a charming and rare example of a Circle X Princess Elizabeth doll!
