RARE Vintage 1961 Madame Alexander CISSY as SCARLETT O'HARA Portrait Doll 20

Portrait Cissy as Scarlett Alexander® Doll. Item: SCARLETT O'HARA PORTRAIT 20 CISSY. Hard plastic socket head, torso and legs jointed at hips and knees, one-piece vinyl arms, sleep eyes, lashes (lashes have some factory glue but can be removed, it has helped preserve her lashes), brunette hair with side curls at the forehead and captured into curls at the back. There is NO CRACKING, NO DISCOLORING and NO ODORS. She is wearing a very crisp "Shanty Town" pale blue taffeta gown with black soutache braid, matching jacket with pagoda-style sleeves, matching poke bonnet with feather trim and black velvet ribbons, stiff taffeta and crinoline petticoat (that slidesoff or may simply have loose elastic), panties, stockings (are snagged from crinoline but have no tears or rips), black sling heels (has loose elastic), back velvet reticule, chatelaine and watch, black lace fingerless gloves, large rhinestone earrings, and onyx ring (no Cameo necklace).

Despite the slight dust (we removed 90% but there was some left on exposed arms, in the tulle beneath the bonnet and the flower on top), Cissy is Excellent condition, with superbly-preserved coiffure, costume and accessories. This doll "MAY HAVE" been displayed at some point but I doubt she was ever played with. Alexander, Cissy as Scarlett, model 2240 in the 1961 catalog described as "an unforgettable doll". Box is torn and tattered but included.
