Stunning Madame Alexander Blonde Cissette Doll Tagged Taffeta Dress High Color
This is a Stunning Madame Alexander Cissette Doll in #916 tagged crisp version of the Navy Blue Taffeta Dress. She has high color to her cheeks. In her book Cissette A Complete Guide to the Madame Alexander Dolls by Marjorie E Merrod M. She states that this dress is a variation with the blue and white sheer blue and white dotted organdy puff sleeves, sash and pleated back inset.
The organdy has not aged in color as viewed in person. The tagged taffeta dress is in super crisp clean excellent condition. Cissette is a 9 inch hard plastic doll in very clean condition. She is also wearing her basic clean and pristine chemise under the dress. Her hard plastic torso has pink color transfer front and back (below the waist).
She is also wearing red elastic high heels and small rhinestone earrings. Her hard plastic body is super clean with tight joints, Her arms hold a pose and her medium blond zig zag stitched wig is absolutely beautiful. It is in the original very very shiny set with long curls to the nape of her neck.
She has high color to her cheeks, peach eyelids, pink nail polish, full face paint and coral pink lips. Additional: The color transfer, particularly red/pink, is usually from something she once wore. At the time this doll was produced, red dyes were very unstable, not like today. If you laundered an article of red clothing with your "whites", you would have pink whites at the end.So she wore something red at one point in her life.
