Vintage 1957 Madame Alexander Cissette Queen Elizabeth II doll #971. 9 inch hard plastic doll. Madame Alexander Cissette doll as a queen to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Hard plastic with bendable knees. She is wearing her tagged gold patterned taffeta brocade gown with flared fit and sleeveless straps, narrow blue sash banner with "jewel" trim, petticoat with ruffled lace trim, satin lace trimmed panties, stockings, an elaborate gilt metallic trim crown with five large rhinestones, three rhinestone "diamond" earrings, "pearl" necklace and bracelet. Gown has snap closures at the back. Beautiful complexion, pretty coiffure and nice costume. A must have for the serious collector.
Doll is in overall good condition. Dress is in very good condition. Sash has some oxidation on the bottom pendant age staining. Petticoat in good condition but does have an open seam at the waist band as pictured. Panties are in good condition with some age discoloration.
The crown has oxidation due to age. Bracelet has some tired elastic, but otherwise great. Stockings are in good condition. Body has red lines pictured but they are not noticeable.
