Vintage Madame Alexander 11 Little Genius Baby 1942 Compo/Cloth ALL ORIGINAL

Beautiful vintage C 1940s approximately 11" character baby doll, which with a little research I believe to be "Little Genius compo and cloth - she is all original and in unplayed with condition. Composition head with blue sleep eyes, real upper lashes, Auburn curly wig which I believe to be mohair in original set.

Original organza dress with lace trim, pink ribbon at waist tagged Madame Alexander New York U. A, dress has safety pin closure. Has some yellowing with NO DAMAGE.

Cotton slip and panties with lace trim also original. Awesome socks with garter belts (w/pink bows to hold them up). Blue leatherette side snap shoes, soles still in fantastic shape, has small damage under one snap. Blue coat, hat and mittens. Coat has 2 pearl like button closure has some fading, 2 tiny spots.

Hat adorned with pink ribbon bow and ribbon tie closure, some fade. Mittens are quite sweet with fur trim attached to pink ribbon so not to get lost.

Cloth body, composition head, hands and lower legs appear to be in great condition for her age. She has a fine line from her neck to her eye and tiny line under her lip, there is no peeling. I have not attempted to clean.

Her eye shadow, eyebrows and lipstick are intact and her eyes open and close freely, blue eyes with hair lashes. What a great addition to your collection.

She has been in storage for some time, she may need to be aired out a bit. I have not completely undressed her for photos as I do not want to damage anything.
