Vintage Madame Alexander Wendy Bride Doll Composition Tagged All Original 19 inch. This is a STUNNING Vintage Madame Alexander Wendy Bride Doll!! Her composition body is jointed at the neck, shoulders, and hips.
She is very loose, but still stands on a doll stand and holds her head at different poses. Even with the help of a magnifying glass, I see NO CRAZING on her face, hands or legs. There is a very tiny area of paint loss on the tip of the finger of her left hand (smaller than the head of a pin). Otherwise, I see no composition finish issues on her face, hands or legs. Wendy's blond human hair?
Wig is in the original set... Parted on the side, curls framing her face continuing around her neckline in back. Her original marcel wave is still beautifully intact. Her beautiful brown sleep eyes function properly, and all her brush lashes are intact. Her facial coloring is perfect, and the rosy glow of her cheeks is repeated on her knees. I found no markings on the neck or the back of this doll. I have not removed the clothing from this doll. She is wearing a white wedding gown of ivory satin.The bodice has a sweetheart neckline and long sleeves gathered at the shoulders. Gold metallic piping accents the wrists and hem of her dress, although it has darkened over time.
The long, gathered skirt with chapel-length train is trimmed at the hem with flower accents. An organza gathered underskirt with stiffener at the hem is attached at the waist. The dress closes in in the back with small silver snaps. Wendy's organza boy-leg underpants are trimmed with lace and tie closed at the waist. The tag on the dress reads: Madame Alexander New York U. Wendy's cathedral-length veil of ivory tulle is gathered and folded back and gathered at the forehead. White lilies of the valley accent the headpiece, and lace trims the edges. Wendy has on ivory knit socks and ivory faux "leather" Mary Janes. A floral bouquet of white roses and lily of the valley with knotted white satin ribbons is attached to Wendy's right wrist.There is overall age discoloration of fabrics and some age spots. This Wendy is an especially beautiful doll. Doll stand is NOT INCLUDED.
